The topic of paying college level athletes has been a hot since the return of the NCAA basketball season. Many have questioned the NCAA’s policy of there being no compensation for collegiate athletes, saying that it is unfair, extortion, and racially suspicious due to the split of support towards the idea of paying the players or not. Athletes at the collegiate level should indeed receive compensation due to their sacrifice of their bodies, they are the reason for the NCAA’s revenue, and it may eliminate the corruption from outside influences.
